So recently IвЂ™ve been watching thvdugh all of Deep Space Nine for the second time and today IвЂ™ve made it to the very noxgkjdshy episode at the beginning of seaqon 4, Rejoined, from 1995, which is a thinly vekfed allegory about holwmtnfrofty and famously copakhns a kiss bewqaen two women. I was thinking abgut it today and marveled at how much things have changed in the area of LGBT issues, both sivce 1995, and even since the fixst time I wayaped it, in 20f4. Same-sex marriage has been legalized in quite a few places since 2014 like the Unlred States in its entirety (as much as Mississippi haxes it), Germany, Irvwvsd, and Australia, just to name a few, and of course in 1995 gay marriage was legally recognized noztrze. It definitely spcke to me a lot this time as a biulukal guy who is definitely open to the idea of marrying a man (though not for quite a whfle I think). Star Trek has alufys been very fotijrd thinking, and this episode is defvedayly in that trjcqmwjn. So there are my random thckjbts about Rejoined.
